Workshop mit Penelope Easten in Berlin

Dear colleagues and friends,
I am very happy to announce that Penelope Easten is coming to teach at the Simio Studio in Berlin in March
She will give lessons from Friday 13th of march to Tuesday 17th.
There will be a workshop on saturday afternoon. Its topic results from her deep research on Alexander´s development of his technique, his own story and what influences he picked up and transformed into his way of teaching.
Was breathing the starting point for Alexander developing his method? Or was it freeing the neck?
Exploring the paradox that breathing was the connector and driver of change in Alexander’s own work. It allowed him to discover inhibition as a vehicle for change, giving optimal alignment, antagonistic action, mechanical advantage, and non-doing, all in one package. So why didn’t he mention breathing methods ever again?
We will explore the interplay between breathing and alignment, non-doing and tone, strength and gentleness, in both hands on and hands off work.
